Arsenal and Man United leaks offer new Leeds United kit clues for 2020/21

Leeds Untied will be changing kit suppliers next season.

The Whites’ current deal with Kappa runs out this summer and it has been one of the worst kept secrets in football Adidas are set to take over as the club’s new kit supplier for 2020/21.

It has yet to be confirmed by the sportswear giant of the club, but it would be a major surprise if they were not unveiled as the club’s new kit suppliers.

While there has been much excitement from the supporters, the sportswear company often follow the same sort of design when it comes to showing off their three stripes.

And some of the kits for Premier League clubs who have a deal with Adidas have already been leaked and that offers some hints as to what Leeds’ shirts could look like.

Arsenal

After a season in which Arsenal fans have been treated to a long-awaited throwback to their famous ‘Bruised Banana’ away kit – and an extremely tidy home strip to go with it – Adidas have a hard act to follow.

Rumour has it that Arsenal will sport a darker shade of red on their home shirts next term, not dissimilar to their mid-noughties ‘Highbury Farewell’ strip.

According to footyheadlines.com, their away kit will be off-white with maroon shorts. That would be closely reminiscent of their 2007-08 away strip, designed by Nike.

Their third kit, meanwhile, could be navy blue with light orange touches. The home kit is expected to be released in May or June, the away kit in July and the third kit in August.

An apparent leak of the next Arsenal home kit has been doing the rounds on social media.

And it’s a rather nice effort with a two-tone gradient across the front, a round-neck white collar with a red and blue stripe at the bottom of the white sleeves.

It has the famous Adidas stripes under the Arsenal cannon logo at the base of the neck on the back.

Of course, Leeds’ home kit will be mostly white, so anything more than a subtle off-white two-tone gradient is unlikely.

Manchester United

Believe it or not, earlier this month, Manchester United’s home kit for next season was seemingly leaked by Barcelona’s official YouTube channel.

Hopefully the social media team at Camp Nou didn’t get too harsh a telling-off after uploading a Pro Evo match to YouTube which appeared to include United’s new kit in the thumbnail.

The picture was soon deleted, but not before fans inevitably took screengrabs. It showed Paul Pogba in a familiar red strip which featured striking yellow and black vertical dashes.

That design matches other ‘leaked’ images which have circulated online. Around the same time, a post on Reddit suggested that Adidas could assign United a grey-green away kit.

Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich’s kit sponsor since 1974, Adidas have a special relationship with Germany’s most decorated club.

According to footyheadlines.com, Bayern’s home shirt next season will feature a hypnotic series of small circles. It is expected to be released in May and was scheduled to make its debut in the final Bundesliga home game of the campaign, though plans may have changed given that the season has been so heavily disrupted.
